Letters for the Inside

Letters for the Inside (LFTI) is an initiative which aims to increase prisoners’ access to the information that they require for a better quality of life on the inside. In addition to providing requested information, LFTI aims to reduce the stigmas associated with prisoners, as well as build bridges between those on the inside and the wider community.
Student volunteers respond to letters from Canadian prisoners serving time both in American and Canadian correctional facilities requesting specific information. Requests vary from song lyrics to health issues to educational opportunities.
